A connector and coalition-builder, Marion excels at cultivating productive, supportive relationships with community and organizational partners. She skillfully communicates a wide range of complex issues to diverse audiences and advocates fiercely for low-income communities, immigrant communities, and communities of color. As a policy analyst, Marion brings technical expertise in research, campaign strategy design, and translation of data into strategy that has tangible impact.
In her native state of North Carolina, Marion has promoted economic, fiscal, and other policies that build power for communities of color, particularly while on staff at the North Carolina Justice Center and think tank Think North Carolina First. Marion holds a master’s in public policy from Duke University and a bachelor’s in English with honors from Wellesley College.
