Ashley is passionate about helping clients turn their vision into actionable steps, and she thrives at workshopping ideas with stakeholders to create thoughtful, effective strategies for change. She manages high-impact projects at Frontline, including the recent Elevate Initiative, done in partnership with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. A former Hilliard P. Jenkins (HPJ) Fellow at Frontline, Ashley also managed this summer internship program and provided career development support for aspiring young leaders. Her previous experience includes internships with the Barcelona City Council (Spain), the Division of Juvenile Justice in Hillsborough, NC, and the organization Young in Prison in Cape Town, South Africa.
Ashley has a master’s degree in Global Markets and Development from the University of Göttingen, where her thesis focused on the role of community participation in urban redevelopment in East Baltimore. She also has an international master’s from University of Glasgow and the University of Barcelona, from the Global Markets, Local Creativities (GLOCAL) program. She earned a bachelor’s in public policy from UNC Chapel Hill, and studied as an undergraduate at the University of Cape Town, Mahidol University in Thailand, and the National University of Singapore.
